Position summary:

As a Product Operations Specialist, you will be instrumental in bringing structure and operational excellence to our expanding product organization. You will play a crucial role in establishing scalable processes, managing essential tools, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and fostering a culture of respect for and adherence to our Agile methodologies. 

This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the foundational framework that will support our continued growth and success, working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver exceptional products within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Scrum Process Support: Assist the product and engineering teams in adhering to our defined Scrum processes and ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives).
  • Facilitation Assistance: Support the facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, ensuring they are productive, time-boxed, and aligned with team goals.
  • Tool and Platform Support: Assist in the maintenance and improvement of our product development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, roadmapping software, analytics dashboards). This includes user onboarding, troubleshooting, basic configuration, and ensuring the tools are configured to support our internal processes.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Support the collection, organization, and basic analysis of product-related data, including metrics relevant to Scrum (e.g., velocity, burndown charts). Assist in the creation and distribution of regular reports and dashboards to the product and leadership team.
  • Process Definition and Documentation: Help define and document clear and concise product development processes, workflows, best practices, and guidelines for a Scrum implementation that is appropriate for a rapidly growing organization.
  • Communication & Coordination: Assist in the coordination of meetings, workshops, and other product-related activities. Help disseminate information effectively across the product team and with other stakeholders, ensuring alignment on Scrum practices.
  • Knowledge Management: Contribute to the organization and maintenance of internal knowledge bases and documentation repositories, including resources on our Scrum process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and processes.
  • A strong interest in technology and product development.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Confluence, and Jira.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles.
