Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented and motivated QA Engineer to join our team in developing internal testing tools that can grow alongside our fast evolving products. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our testing framework is robust, efficient, and capable of scaling with the growing needs of our engineering and product teams.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers and product managers to design, implement, and maintain tools that support automated testing processes. Your work will directly contribute to improving the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain internal testing tools with a primary focus on accelerating back end testing while ensuring coverage of all product use cases.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand testing requirements and independently determine the appropriate solutions to address their needs.
  • Develop robust and scalable backend systems to generate, manage, and deliver test data sets that closely simulate real-world conditions and edge cases.
  • Integrate with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing in the development lifecycle.
  • Create and manage APIs or services that can be used by other teams to access and manipulate generated test data.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing strategies, identifying areas for optimization and automation while ensuring alignment with the growth of the product.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for testing tools in use by the team, ensuring smooth integration into the testing processes.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in testing, backend development, and data generation.

Job Requirements:

Functional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with BSS or TM Forum standards strongly preferred.
  • Experience in creating internal testing tools that can grow alongside the core products it supports. 
  • Ability to create and execute a roadmap towards testing maturity.
  • Work with product managers and technical leads to distill their real world testing. requirements into practical tooling that can be used across the organization.

Technical Requirements:

  • 3+ years of prior experience as QA Automation Engineer, SDET, SDE or similar software engineering roles.
  • Fluent in a modern programming language, preferably Typescript and its eco-system.
  • Experienced in the end-to-end software development lifecycle (design, implementation, debugging, testing, and maintenance).
  • Can produce reusable, maintainable, and well documented web application codes.
  • Experience with sql databases such as postgresql, mysql or mongoDB.
  • Good understanding of the network stack, HTTP protocol, and RESTful services.

Extra technical assets:

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Typescript, NodeJS and its related backend stack
  • ReactJS
  • Experience with AI tools and IDE to accelerate development
