Front End Developer

Overview

Our organization is looking for a Front End Engineer who can utilize JavaScript, PHP, HTML, and CSS to develop effective user interfaces for our product website released to the public. The successful candidate will work closely with other development, product, and design team members to create, update, and maintain the website. The Front End Engineer should be self-directed and have the ability to track solutions from design through implementation, owning every step along the way.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deliver, and maintain the next generation applications for desktop and mobile browser with an emphasis on user experience;
• Brainstorm, design, and implement front end components and user experiences;
• Optimize web applications for scalability, performance, accessibility, and cross-browser/platform compatibility
• Collaborate with teams across product, design, engineering, and quality assurance to drive excellence in user experience
• Build reusable code and libraries 
• Create and drive metrics to measure complexity 
• Work with the latest technologies and tools 

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue.js
• Ability to develop and interact with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with modern JavaScript (ES2015 and newer)
• Experience with technologies and tools used in web app development
• Knowledge of web app optimization techniques and best practices (SEO, Responsive and Reactive design, caching, etc...)
• Knowledge and a good understanding of distributed systems and microservices
• Strong HTML5 and CSS3 skills
• Knowledge of CSS precompilers: SCSS, SASS, LESS
